Guide
How Unlisted works
Whether you’re a performer, an agent, or a casting director, here’s the simple version of getting from sign-up to booked. Jump to your role:
For talent
Get discovered and audition
Build a profile, submit to roles, and respond to holds and callbacks — all from one dashboard.
- 1
Create your profile
Add your headline, location, skills, and stats, then upload headshots and a showreel from your dashboard. A complete profile is what casting sees first.
- 2
Browse open calls
Head to Jobs to search live UK roles by keyword, project type, and location. Open any role to read the brief, requirements, fee, and deadline.
- 3
Submit an audition
On a role you like, write a short cover note and, if you have one, attach a self-tape (MP4, MOV, or WEBM). Submit before the deadline.
- 4
Respond to holds & callbacks
If casting places you on a pencil hold or schedules a callback, you’ll be notified. Open My auditions and confirm your availability so they can firm up the booking.
- 5
Send requested self-tapes
When casting requests a self-tape, you’ll see the brief and due date on My auditions and on the role. Record to the brief and upload it there.
- 6
Message and upgrade
Message casting directly from a conversation. On the free Starter plan you get core tools; upgrade to Pro or Studio for unlimited auditions, messaging, and extras.
For agents
Represent and submit your roster
Manage the performers you represent and put them forward for roles on their behalf.
- 1
Sign up as an Agent
Choose the Agent path when you join. Agents represent performers and submit them to roles on their behalf.
- 2
Build your roster
In My roster, invite each performer by their Unlisted email. They confirm the request before appearing on your roster — so representation is always consented.
- 3
Find the right roles
Browse Jobs for open calls that suit your clients, and open a role to review the full brief and requirements.
- 4
Submit a client
On an open role, use Submit a client to put a performer from your active roster forward with a short pitch. Casting sees the submission came from you.
- 5
Track everything from your desk
Your dashboard shows active clients, pending invites, and every submission you’ve made on their behalf, with its current status.
For agencies
Cast from one desk
Post breakdowns, review submissions, and run the full audition workflow — pencils, callbacks, and self-tape requests.
- 1
Post a job
From your desk, use New posting to publish a breakdown — role, project, fee, dates, requirements, and optional reference photos or a video.
- 2
Review submissions
Open a role’s Submissions deck to see every applicant as a card. Filter by status, shortlisted, on hold, callbacks, self-tapes, or confirmed availability.
- 3
Shortlist your favourites
Add strong candidates to your shortlist to gather your slate for the role in one place.
- 4
Place holds & schedule callbacks
Put talent on a 1st or 2nd pencil hold for specific dates, or schedule a callback with time, location, and prep notes. Performers are notified to confirm.
- 5
Request self-tapes
Ask any submission for a self-tape with a brief and a due date. Requests read as “awaiting” until the tape lands, then flip to “received.”
- 6
Message and upgrade
Message talent and agents directly. Upgrade to the Agency plan for advanced talent search, unlimited outreach, and priority placement for your open calls.
